General Terms
The Company “CRETAN MEDICARE MEDICAL SA”, owner of the online service/platform “Find a Doctor” (hereinafter, for the sake of brevity, referred to as the “Platform” or “Application”), operates and manages the said service under the terms of use detailed below. Each visitor/user of the Platform is requested to read them carefully and to proceed with visiting/using the Platform only if they fully accept them. In case of disagreement, the visitor/user is requested not to use the “Find a Doctor” service, but to notify the Company of any comments they may have so that they can be taken into account, always within the limits of feasibility, good faith, and commercial ethics.
The following terms constitute the conditions under which the Company provides its services to visitors/users through “Find a Doctor”. The use of these services presupposes the unconditional acceptance of the following terms by the User/Visitor. If the visitor/user does not agree with the terms of use herein, they must refrain from using the services and content of “Find a Doctor”.
Intellectual Property Rights
The intellectual property rights regarding the content and services of “Find a Doctor”—including, but not limited to, texts, photographs, designs, medical, commercial, and financial data, databases, programs, files of any nature, trademarks/logos, and the layout of the Platform—are protected by Greek, European, and international intellectual property laws. They belong exclusively to the Company and are made available to users strictly for personal use.
The Company, always acting in good faith and according to commercial ethics, makes every effort to ensure that the content, physician information, and data appearing on “Find a Doctor” are as accurate and true as possible; however, it bears no responsibility for their reliability or completeness. Any copying, distribution, transfer, processing, resale, creation of derivative work, or misleading of the public regarding the actual provider of the Platform’s content is strictly prohibited.
Any reproduction, republication, uploading, announcement, dissemination, transmission, or any other use of the content in any manner or by any means for commercial or other purposes is permitted only with the prior written permission of the Company or any other holder of the intellectual property rights. Otherwise, the aforementioned actions may constitute an infringement of the Company’s intellectual/industrial property rights, and the Company reserves the right to claim any direct or indirect damages caused to it, in accordance with the provisions of applicable legislation. “Find a Doctor” and its related marks constitute registered elements governed by the relevant protective provisions.
User Responsibilities
The use of and visit to the “Find a Doctor” service presupposes the unconditional acceptance of the terms of use described herein. Navigating, searching for doctors, and remaining on the Platform constitutes practical acceptance of these terms.
Visitors/users of the Platform must comply with the rules and provisions of Greek, European, and International Law, as well as the relevant legislation governing telecommunications, and must refrain from any illegal or abusive behavior during and in relation to their visit/use. The visit/use of “Find a Doctor” must be carried out exclusively for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not restrict or prevent its use by third parties.
The User is obliged to use the Platform in accordance with the law, moral ethics, and the present terms, and to refrain from acts or omissions that could cause damage or malfunction to it, or affect or jeopardize the provision of services. The visitor/user is liable and undertakes to compensate for any damage caused to the Company and/or “Find a Doctor” resulting from unlawful, unfair, or generally unethical use of the service that violates these terms.
Charges and Additional Services
Any price listed or displayed for services on the Platform strictly concerns the cost of the medical visit only. Any additional medical, diagnostic, clinical, or other services and procedures performed during or as a result of this visit are subject to extra charges. These additional fees are not included in the initial price of the visit and shall be borne entirely by the user/patient.
Important Insurance Disclaimer
The “Find a Doctor” service assists patients in understanding and following the insurance process, but it does not control the decisions of any insurance provider.
The insurance company holds sole and absolute authority to decide:
- Whether your case will be accepted
- Whether direct billing is approved
- Whether you must pay privately first
- Whether you will be reimbursed
- Whether your medical condition is excluded from coverage
- Whether an excess/deductible applies
For this reason, “Find a Doctor” cannot guarantee approval, direct billing, or reimbursement from any insurance provider. If the insurance company rejects the case, delays approval, or refuses reimbursement, this shall under no circumstances constitute the responsibility of “Find a Doctor” or the Company.
Limitation of Company Liability
The content of “Find a Doctor” and the search and information services provided through it are available “as is.” The Company provides no warranty, express or implied, regarding the integrity, correctness, timeliness, commerciality, non-infringement, or suitability of this content for any use, application, or purpose (including the selection of medical personnel or the coverage of expenses by third parties).
The Company takes every appropriate and reasonably expected measure to ensure that the data, physician information, and material constituting the content of the Platform are complete, accurate, and reliable. However, the Company cannot fully guarantee the correctness, completeness, accuracy, and reliability of the aforementioned data and is not liable to the visitor/user or third parties for any damage due to its incorrect, inaccurate, or outdated nature.
The Company makes every possible effort, within the scope of technological control, to ensure that the services and contents of “Find a Doctor” are provided seamlessly and without interruption. It is not responsible, however, if for any reason—including negligence—the operation of the Platform is interrupted or access to it becomes difficult and/or impossible, or if, despite the security measures taken, “viruses” or other harmful software are detected and transmitted to the terminals of visitors/users, or if unauthorized third parties (“hackers”) interfere with the content and operation of “Find a Doctor”, causing problems.
Furthermore, the Company bears no liability for the temporary unavailability of the service, the interruption of individual or all of its functions, or for any malfunction or technical issues that may arise. Under any circumstances, including negligence, the Company is not liable to the user or any third party for any form of damage, direct or indirect, related in any way to the use of “Find a Doctor”, navigation on it, and the use of its services.
