Using Your Insurance with Find a Doctor
Simple, Guided Medical Support for Insured Patients
If you need medical care and you have travel insurance, international health insurance, or private medical insurance, Find a Doctor can help you understand what to do and guide you through the insurance process.
Insurance procedures can be confusing, especially when you are abroad, unwell, or unsure what your policy covers. Our role is to make the process clear, collect the necessary information, and help coordinate the case with the insurance or assistance company where possible.
Important Note: Final approval of insurance coverage is always decided by the insurance company, not by Find a Doctor.
What You Need to Do
When requesting a doctor, clinic appointment, or hotel visit, please inform us that you have insurance coverage.
To arrange your medical visit, you will be asked to provide the following information:
- Your full name and date of birth
- Your hotel and address of stay
- Contact details for the hotel or your medical attendant
- A brief description of your medical condition or concern
- Your travel dates
- The name of your insurance company
Once your request has been submitted, we will contact you to explain the next steps of the process.
If you require assistance or additional information regarding the process, please call +30 28970 00000.
Important Disclaimer
Find a Doctor helps patients understand and follow the insurance process, but does do not control insurance decisions.
The insurance company alone decides:
- Whether your case is accepted
- Whether direct billing is approved
- Whether you must pay first
- Whether you will be reimbursed
- Whether your condition is excluded
- Whether an excess or deductible applies
For this reason, Find a Doctor cannot guarantee approval, direct payment, or reimbursement.
If your insurance company rejects the case, delays approval, or refuses reimbursement, this is not the responsibility of Find a Doctor.
If the Insurance Reject your Request You Can Always Continue Privately
Even if your insurance does not approve the case, you can still receive medical care as a private patient.
Before proceeding privately, you will be informed about the cost where applicable.
After payment, you could ask to receive documents that can be submitted by you to your insurer for possible reimbursement.
Our Commitment
Find a Doctor will:
- Explain the process clearly
- Help you understand what documents are needed
- Assist with insurance-related communication where possible
- Provide medical documentation after the consultation
- Keep the process simple and transparent
Our priority is to help you receive the medical care you need, while making the insurance process as clear as possible.
